An Introduction to the Laser

Our online learning programme and e-portfolio are available to learners 24 hours a day 7 days a week!

The Laser system is easy to use and comprehensive. It tracks the learner's progress, provides good under-pinning knowledge, stores the learner's assessments and allows learner and assessor to communicate, keeping a record of messages sent and received.

The system enables assessors to guide the learner through the course tracking and monitoring progress. Only two on-site visits are required for direct observations.

The time the learner spends on the system is recorded and progress can be produced instantly for assessors and learners.

As learners enter the virtual classroom, tutors can track the learning they access and complete.

The Learner is given a clear and instant indication of their progress. Their anticipated completion date is calculated and automatically updated dependent on the speed at which they upload work for assessment.

The Laser is personalised to the learner, and their user name and password performs the role of a signature, negating the need for signed forms.

Our multi-sensory motivational learning programme covers all areas of knowledge and skills: learning tutorials, reading text, powerpoint presentations, multimedia activities, filmed best practice examples, extended learning opportunities and assessment tasks.
